Solos for violin, sensors & computer sound transformation/ synthesis ZKM|Zentrum fuer Kunst und Medientechnologie. Germany. Wishart has directed the development of an audio and gestural interface to control the computer as a violinist. The computer generated music moves between the speakers of the sound-dome to create sonic clouds around the acoustic sound and physical placement of the violin. For orchestra, Theremin and live electronics. Commissioned by Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles, Belgium and Art Zoyd, Transfrontalier de Productions et de Créations Musicales, France. The work is notated with a score including parts to be played on keyboard and drum pads implemented with a virtual instrument in Max/MSP and is for string orchestra, gongs, midi drum pads, keyboard and theramin with sound design for 6 speaker amplification 2003/2004
