Sacred and Profane Love in 13th-century France

Stevie Wishart and her group Sinfonye will perform at the Birmingham Early Music Festival in November. They will present a new programme, in collaboration with the University of Birmingham’s Director of CEMPR, Mary O’Neill, of music from 13th-century France, including some of the earliest pieces of composed vernacular music in three- and four parts, marking the birth of a tradition of ‘European harmony’.
