Stevie Wishart, Sergei Istomin and Catherine Jauniaux give concerts at an exhibition to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the first edition of L’Éloge de la Folie d’Érasme.
It is an exhibition where the Salle Renaissance de la Maison d’Érasme is transformed into a magic lantern, where it plays with the boredom of family celebrations, Christmas, the obligations of New Year's Eve. An exhibition where you are greeted with sweets, perfumes of the Orient, mints and dates. An exhibition where children are welcome, when you forget the cold, and dream of better life which begins tomorrow
At the heart of the exhibition lies a musical fantasy by composer Stevie Wishart, that brings to life the vices in the procession of Folly (Self-Love, Flattery, Forgetfulness, Idleness, Pleasure and Sound Sleep). Each vice is represented in a concert and the composition will be performed in its entirety during both evening concerts.
