Gary Cooper

piano & harpsichord

Gary Cooper is one of the foremost ambassadors of the harpsichord and fortepiano - in particular, as an interpreter of Bach’s & Mozart’s keyboard music. Also a concert and opera conductor, he performs with Arion (Montreal), the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Irish Baroque Orchestra, the new Belgian period instrument ensemble, B’Rock, and opera with English Touring Opera and at Sadler’s Wells. Gary’s recordings include, with Rachel Podger, the complete Sonatas for Keyboard & Violin by Mozart (Channel Classics), “rightly been showered with critical acclaim and awards”. His Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier was the Sunday Times Classical Record of the Year. Recitals across Europe, include Beethoven’s Diabelli, Scarlatti Sonatas, Bach & music from the London Piano School. Gary is also a founding member a new period instrument ensemble, ensembleF2, launched at London’s Wigmore Hall in Spring 2009; and releasing a recording of Mozart's Variations with Beethoven’s Diabelli, Haydn, Brahms and the Goldberg Variations to follow. Madeleine Easton

classical & romantic violin

The Australian violinist Madeleine Easton has established a unique reputation as a concertmaster and soloist of both baroque and modern violin. She was a prize winner in the Gisbourne International Music Competition in New Zealand and the Richard Goldner Concerto Competition in Sydney. In 2001, she undertook a Postgraduate diploma at the Royal College of Music where she graduated with Distinction winning the Royal College of music String Prize. She has established her self in the UK where she is a sort after concertmaster and soloists with many ensembles including the Independent Opera Company, the Armonico Consort and the Hanover Band. She was appointed leader of the Hanover Band in 2006 and is a founding member of EnsembleF2. Madeleine is about to release her first solo disc of the complete Khandoshkin violin sonatas with SFZ Records.
