REPERTOIRE & SPECIAL PROJECTS
Future projects, already reaching as far ahead as 2011, include concerts at London’s Wigmore Hall and Southbank Centre, and in Belgium, Austria and Australia, with growing interest from many leading Festivals and promoters in the UK and overseas. In addition, there are a range of prestigious recording projects planned, including a recording of Bach's Violin Concertos with soloist & Gramophone award winner, Rachel Podger more..., for the Channel Classics label.
Unique to ensembleF2 will be the partnership between the highest level of musicianship and the historical and academic research required to support performances. Each programme will be researched by consulting experts, whether musicologists or practical specialists, and players will research & use the most appropriate instruments for the period of repertoire. Programmes will range from small chamber music projects, with upwards of 3 players, to orchestral forces exploring the romantic repertoire.
ensembleF2 offer masterclasses, talks and seminars alongside concerts. ‘Residencies’ are also offered presenting a range of concerts, notably ’Experiences’, where a composer's nominated works, along with style, historical context and other issues, can be explored by promoters, festivals, and their audiences. Composers explored will include Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Brahms.
