The Palladians explore the forces of light and darkness in a program which features music by the aptly named Arcangelo Corelli, Tartini's infamous 'Devil's Trill' sonata, works by Marais and Forqueray ['the one played like an Angel, the other like a Demon from hell...'] and music for the baroque guitar by Santiago de Murcia which was officially banned by the Spanish Inquisition for its incitement to 'grave ruin and scandal of the souls of the Christian community' An opportunity for each listener to decide whether the devil really has the best tunes...
