'On the road to Mozart's Harem' focuses on a seductive period in the Vienna Classicism. References to the exotic Orient, and all fantasies going along with it, were very popular in the 18th century music. Famous example is Mozart's 'Die "Entführung aus dem serail", but many of his predecessors and contemporaries were inspired by the Turkish seraglio as well.

Frank Agsteribbe selected several fragments of the Turkish Opera's of J.A. Hasse, C.W. Gluck, J. Haydn and other contemporaries of Mozart. For B'Rock this concert will be it's first steps within a more classical repertoire.
